An SQA HND in Electronic Engineering will give you the practical engineering skills, theoretical knowledge of a range of core electrical, analogue electronics and digital electronics principles as well as the ability to apply analysis synthesis skills to the solution of electronic problems. It covers all the fundamental aspects of Electronic Engineering, including testing, fault finding and construction.
The SQA HND in Electronic Engineering consists of a total of 30 Unit credits. Each Unit credit is designed to take about 40 hours teaching and learning (though it may take more or less time than this).
An SQA HND in Electronic Engineering can gain you entry in to an English speaking university.
SQA's prestigious qualifications are recognised worldwide.

Communication Units in HNCs and HNDs
This guide provides support for developing good practice in how the Research Skills Unit (F60A 34) might be delivered, scheduled and assessed. It contains guidance on delivering the Research Skills Unit both on a stand-alone basis or integrating with other Units, and provides customised checklists for integration with various Graded Units
Marks amended in Assessment task 1 Question 2 and Question 7 (b).
The Units below have been replaced by H7K0 33 and H7K1 34 and will finish 31/07/2016. Centres must plan to switch over from DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 to H7K0 33 and H7K1 34. Candidates currently entered for DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 must complete the Units before the finish date. Please note that candidates can no longer be entered for DG4H 33 and DG4L 34 after the finish date.
The Assessment Support Pack for the new Mathematics Units H7K0 33 and H7K1 34 will be available on the secure web pages listing all Assessment Support Packs from March 2015.
The Unit below replaces the existing Unit "Communication: Practical Skills - D77G 34" which will finish on 31st July 2016. Candidates must complete the existing Unit before the finish date and can no longer be entered for the existing Unit after the finish date.
