The SQA HND in Administration and Information Technology can improve your prospects of employment in an office environment as a senior administrator, administrative manager, office manager or equivalent.
The SQA HND covers all aspects of office administration and you will develop specialist IT skills in word processing, spreadsheet and database software, as well as practical use of social media software and web applications for business purposes. You will develop interpersonal skills and experience of research, planning and organising your work. You will also develop knowledge of legal and ethical issues in relation to the workplace and management of data and information.
The SQA HND in Administration and Information Technology consists of a total of 30 Unit credits. Each Unit comprises of approximately 40 timetabled learning and 40 hours self-guided learning and study. They usually take two academic years to complete but this time frame is flexible.
