SQA Advanced Diploma Business with Human Resource Management

The SQA Advanced Diploma in Business with Human Resource Management is designed to provide the theoretical business knowledge and practical skills that employees are expected to have for a career in the business sector, while allowing specialisation in human resource management.

It includes recruitment and selection, preparing job descriptions and interviewing, employee training and development, and employee relations — eg handling grievances, disciplinary proceedings and redundancy. It also includes employee services, payroll and benefits, and predicting and planning for an organisation’s future staffing needs.

The SQA Advanced Diploma in Business with Human Resource Management consists of 30 unit credits. Each unit credit has approximately 40 hours of timetabled learning and 40 hours of self-guided learning and study. The SQA Advanced Diploma usually takes two academic years to complete, but this timeframe is flexible.

An SQA Advanced Diploma in Business with Human Resource Management can allow advanced entry to an English-speaking university. SQA’s qualifications are recognised worldwide.
