Continuing Professional Development (CPD) materials

This section contains a wide range of materials that were originally developed for use at the SQA CPD Events in China. They can be used in their current format or can be adapted to meet your needs and will help you with the management and delivery of our courses. You can use them to support staff training events in your centre, for new staff, or as part of your own continuing professional development.

Stages of SQA's Circle of Success

Plan

• Qualification course planning, staff roles and responsibilities, internal verification and standardisation.

Prepare

• Develop lesson plans, teaching methods, case studies, preparing assessments and updating materials.

Deliver

• Approaches to the delivery of specific units, including graded units.

Assess

• Advice and guidance on assessing SQA units and applying professional judgement.

Review

• Guidance on preparing for external verification, the role of the external verifier and standardisation.
