Qualification Verification Summary Reports

Qualification Verification Summary Reports (QVSRs) are produced on an annual basis and summarise the outcome of verification activity that has taken place in the previous twelve months. Each report also highlights areas of good practice and areas that require improvement.  The reports can be used as a continuous improvement tool for the SQA qualifications you are approved to deliver.

How you can use QVSRs:

  1. Arrange meetings

For each subject that has a published report, set up a meeting and invite the teachers, assessors and internal verifiers for the subject grouping.

  1. Discuss report content

Identify what you can learn from the report, and what actions your centre will take.

Can you adopt some of the good practice reported?

Can you change how you deliver, assess or verify a subject, based on any weaknesses highlighted?

  1. Take minutes of the meetings

Keep a note of what you discussed and the actions you agreed. These minutes can be evidence of reviewing practices during Qualification Verification events.
