Qualifications Guidance 2023-24
SQA has supported learners and centres over the past three years by offering flexible assessment approaches, adapting to the restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe these temporary arrangements are no longer required and delivery and assessment can return to normal. For academic session 2023-24, SQA will remove alternative assessment approaches and reinstate the evidence requirements for Graded Units.

SQA is re-instating the evidence requirements for Graded Units, as per normal delivery and assessment.

Despite the challenges in recent years, centres have successfully adapted delivery and assessment approaches, and this has resulted in good practice across centres that we want to foster.
This optional guidance document aims to support tutors in centres to consider ways to reduce assessment. It complements the advice outlined in the Course Tutor Guide and Unit Specifications.
